I’ve been meaning to post the link to this blog entry since I first read it last Sunday, but it’s only now that I got around actually doing it.
I think the blogger makes an interesting point when mentioning that watching cops and lawyers catching the bad guys while downplaying how their jobs impact their family life, how they feel about their co-workers, and how they cope with what torments them is the reason why L&O is successful.
BTW, did you know that L&O is the longest running primetime drama currently on American television? Now in its 18th season, L&O is actually the second longest running primetime drama in the history of television after “Gunsmoke” (that ran from 1955 to 1975).
