Shucks! I was so excited when I saw this post, but it’s just the original music, not all the classics that were featured in the film. Of course, the royalties for including all those was probably cost prohibitive.

It would have been nice if they had included all of the music featured in “la Mission” in the soundtrack, not just the original music, but you’re probably right: the royalties would have made it cost prohibitive to do so. Hopefully, the classics featured in the film are easy to find.

Now I’m wondering how common it is to include only the original music in soundtrack releases rather than all of the music featured in a film.

Can anyone supply a list of the songs featured in “La Mission?” Can think of a few, but curious if anyone could add to this:

“Got to Give It Up” – Marvin Gaye
“Fight the Power” – Isley Brothers
“Be Thankful For What You’ve Got” – Andy Allo & DJ Mr. E

I don’t know if there is a web site where you can get the whole thing for free.

There are a few web sites where you can buy the album or even only a single track from the album, that is
Round Whirled Records: Songs from La Mission
Amazon.com: Songs from La Mission and
      iTunes: Songs from La Mission.
