On Thursday, May 12, the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities (PCAH) and the nonprofit Sundance Institute will showcase five U.S. and five international award-winning independent films, including “La Mission” as part of its Film Forward: Advancing Cultural Dialogue initiative on The National Mall.
“La Mission” will be screened at 6 pm at the Smithsonian American Art Museum/The National Portrait Gallery, McEvoy Auditorium, 8th and G, NW. Admission: 10 US$.

Two free screenings of “La Mission” are scheduled for
- Saturday, April 9, 2010, 2-5 p.m, at the Oasis Youth Opportunity Center (1704 Charlotte Avenue, Suite 200, Nashville, TN 37203), and
- Sunday, April 10, 2010, 7 pm, at the Belcourt Theatre (2102 Belcourt Avenue – Nashville TN 37212).
A discussion featuring the film’s director Peter Bratt will follow Saturday’s screening. The two screenings are co-presented by Oasis Youth Opportunity Center, the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Nashville GLBT Chamber of Commerce, PFLAG Nashville, and Vanderbilt University’s Office of LGBTQI Life.
