Here are two photos of Benjamin from the 32nd CineFestival in San Antonio, TX, where “La Mission” was screened on Saturday, February, 6.

Besides its screening, “La Mission” was awarded the 2010 Special Jury Mesquite Award at the CineFestival.

Moreover, Benjamin made it to the covers of La Prensa Newspaper on February 3 (if you missed the paper at newsstands, the paper can be downloaded from here http://issues.laprensasa.com/d.....ssues.html) and Conexion Newspaper on February 4.

“La Mission” is showing today – Friday, February 5 -, tomorrow – Saturday, February 6 – and on Sunday, February 7 at the 33rd Göteborg International Film Festival in Sweden.

“La Mission” film is close to Bratt brothers

According to E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos, Benjamin Bratt returns as Manny’s wayward dad in the February 10 episode (“My Funky Valentine”) of “Modern Family” (Watch With Kristin).

Moreover, ABC renewed “Modern Family” for a second season.

The 32nd edition of CineFestival en San Antonio, which showcases films by and about Latinos and runs Thursday, February 4, through  Sunday, Febryary 7, 2010, at the historic Guadalupe Theater in San Antonio, TX, will host a screening of “La Mission” on Saturday, February 6, at 8 pm.

Director Peter Bratt and actors Benjamin Bratt and Jesse Borrego are set to attend.

“La Mission” is also the winner of CineFestival’s prestigious Premio Mesquite Award: Special Jury Award.

Remembering Howard Zinn

Author, historian, teacher, activist, and television producer Dr. Howard Zinn died suddenly of a heart attack on Wednesday, at 87.

A televised documentary based on his bestselling book “The People Speak” aired in onDecember 13, 2009, on History Channel (featuring Benjamin Bratt, among others) and readings from it were performed at locations such as the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.

This year’s Cinequest Film Festival will host a special screening of “La Mission”, which  will be presented by director Peter Bratt and followed by a 30-minute conversation with Benjamin Bratt. On the same occasion, Benjamin Bratt will be presented with the Maverick Spirit Award.

The event is to take place on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at 7 pm, at the California Theatre in San Jose, CA. Tickets will be at $ 15.

Benjamin Bratt will be one of the presenters at the 16th Annial Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The show will air from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center tonight, Saturday, January 23, 2010, at at 8 pm ET/PT, 7 pm CT and 6 pm MT, on TNT & TBS. A second airing of the SAG Awards will be at 11 PM ET/PT on TNT.
