Sundance surfs the down economy

Besides expressing her concern about how the current recession is affecting the sales of film titles :cry: , Cathleen Rountree (a globe-trotting film festival enthusiast, who covers film festivals for various venues, in addition to teaching Writing and Multicultural Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a series of film studies courses) expressed her appreciation of the high quality of films shown at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and included “La Mission” in the list of her favorites. 8)


“La Mission,” starring a superb Benjamin Bratt and taking place in San Francisco, tells the story of redemption imbued with the curative power of Aztec tradition.
